The Search and Sort functionality enhances the usability and efficiency of the Content Manager. The Content Manager contains media items that are categorized based on content type. Over time, you may have to deal with thousands or even millions of assets in the Content Manager, making manual navigation impractical. Search and sort functionalities ensure that you can retrieve or identify the exact assets you need to speed up the subsequent workflow.

Search assets

You can locate assets by searching for keywords, names, or IDs.

Basic Search

1. Select a channel from the dropdown list to display assets specific to that channel.

2. Locate the Search field and type your search keyword (asset name or ID) in full or partial.

The results are filtered based on your search keyword.

Note
All assets matching the keyword full or partial are displayed. Asset Ids hold precedence over the series names, in the order of display.

Multi-Keyword Search

1. Select a channel from the dropdown list to display assets specific to that channel.

2. Locate the Search field and enter comma-separated keywords in the Search field.

The search results show assets matching the first keyword, followed by the second keyword.

Note
Search results with exact matches have precedence over partial ones, with asset Ids given priority over series names.

To clear the search results, click the close icon (X) within the Search field.

Sort assets

Alphabetical and Reverse Alphabetical Order

1. Select a channel from the dropdown list.

2. Click on the sort icon located within the CONTENT MANAGER widget.

3. In the sort options, choose 'A-Z' for ascending alphabetical order or 'Z-A' for descending reverse alphabetical order.

Media assets will be sorted accordingly, displaying series and non-episodic content together.

Duration-Based Sorting

1. Open the Content Manager and choose a channel from the dropdown list.

2. Navigate to the Media tab within the CONTENT MANAGER widget.

3. Click on the Sort icon in the Media tab.

4. Select 'Duration Low - High' to sort assets based on duration from low to high or 'Duration High - Low' for high to low.

All the single or non-episodic media assets will be sorted based on duration, followed by Series content.

Recently Added Sorting

1. Go to the Content Manager and select a specific channel from the dropdown list.

2. In the CONTENT MANAGER widget, navigate to the Media tab.

3. Click on the Sort icon within the Media tab.

4. Choose 'Recently Added' from the Sort options.

Media assets recently added will be displayed in descending order, from most recently added to non-updated content. Series and non-episodic content will be sorted together based on the date of addition.

Use the search and sort functionalities to streamline your content management tasks and ensure you have quick access to the assets you need for successful broadcasting.
