This article will guide you to create and manage an Editorial Collection in Amagi PLANNER.

Create Editorial Collection

To create an editorial collection,

  1. Select the Media tab in the CONTENT MANAGER pane.
  2. Filter the titles in the Content Manager by applying one or more filters. Press Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac), and select the required titles from the Filter results, using which you want to build the collection.
  3. Locate and click the + NEW COLLECTION widget with your selected titles to build a new collection.
  4. In the New Collection window that appears, select the collection type as Editorial curation.
  5. In the Change Collection Type pop-up, click OK.
  6. Provide a name for your collection in the designated field and select the required tags.
  7. In the Assets tab, you can view all the titles you chose to build the editorial collection.
    1. You can add more titles to the collection, delete the unwanted titles, or reorder them as needed.
    2. The segments of all the titles chosen for building the collection are displayed along with empty ad breaks.
    3. Ad breaks are automatically inserted for titles with multiple segments. To insert ad breaks for titles with only one asset segment or additional breaks above or below the title, follow the steps outlined in the Manual insert of ad breaks section.
      Note
Ad breaks can be filled manually or by the break automation rules when the collection is scheduled.
  8. (Optional) To add specific ad media to the ad breaks, follow these steps:
    1. Select ad media one at a time corresponding to the ad slate from the CONTENT MANAGER pane as per your need.
    2. Drag and drop the ad media to the Break <n> box, where n is the break number. For example, the break number can be Break 1, Break 2, Break 3, etc.
  9. Click NEXT and move to the Metadata tab, providing details such as the collection name (mandatory), genre, descriptions, rating, etc.
  10. Click the 'CREATE COLLECTION' button to create a collection.

The newly built editorial curation collection is listed in the Collection tab of the Content Manager and labeled NONEPISODIC.

Manual insert of ad breaks

When you create a new editorial collection consisting of titles with multiple segments, ad breaks are inserted automatically. You can also manually add more ad breaks. These ad breaks can be added above or below the entire asset.

When the editorial collection consists of titles with only one segment, no ad breaks are inserted after the single-segmented titles. However, you can place ad breaks manually above or below the titles.

To manually insert an ad break in the asset, follow the below steps:

  1. Click ADD BREAK, available on the top-right corner of the first asset segment.
  2. In the pop-up, select the position where you wish to place the ad break.
    • To insert the ad break above the asset, choose Above the asset option. Once done, a new ad break is inserted just above the asset.
    • To insert the ad break below the asset, choose Below the asset option.

Edit Collections

You can also edit (add, remove or reorder titles) an already available collection.

  1. Locate the collection you wish to edit in the Collection tab and click on the title to open the Collection Details window.
  2. In the Collection Details window, you can see an overview of the collection's content and information.

Add Assets

  1. In the Content Manager, locate and select the title you want to include in the collection.
  2. Drag them to the Drag & drop media box in the Assets tab.

Remove Assets

To delete an unwanted asset, click the Delete icon () located on the right side of the asset.

Reorder Assets

To change the order of assets, drag the required title and move it upwards or downwards.

  1. Click on the Next button to proceed to the next step.
  2. Click the Update Collection button to save the changes.
  3. After updating, you can verify the details by reopening the collection details tab.

Note
To edit a collection that has already been scheduled, duplicate the collection you want to edit and then update the duplicated version. You can then use this collection to schedule further.

Delete Collections

To delete a collection, right-click on the collection in the Content Manager and select Delete from the right-click menu. A popup appears to confirm the deletion. You can archive the collection instead of permanently deleting it.

Archive Collections

To archive a collection, right-click on the collection in the Content Manager and select Archive from the right-click menu.
