This article helps you to learn to schedule an automatic curation collection.

  1. In the PLANNER application, navigate to the Collection tab in the CONTENT MANAGER pane.
  2. Locate the automatic collection if it is already built. Otherwise, build a new automatic curation master collection.
  3. Navigate the calendar in the Week or Day view to the date and time slot the program needs to be scheduled.
  4. From the CONTENT MANAGER pane, drag and drop the desired collection to the scheduled start time and date in the calendar.
  5. Configure the Schedule Collection window displayed on the right pane of the PLANNER application.
    1. Select the required schedule type on the Schedule Collection window's left pane.
    2. Provide the Target Duration.
    3. Select the number of programs that you want to schedule per day.
    4. If the Schedule Type is Series-Season or Open Series, Scheduling Date determines the number of episodes scheduled.
    5. (Optional) Move to the Metadata tab and provide the episode metadata.
    6. Click the Rules tab on the right pane and configure the following:
      1. Provide the number of ad breaks you wish to schedule in the program.
        Note
The ad breaks are distributed equally across the program between the titles. Ad breaks are not inserted before or after the program.
      2. Choose the Asset Order to be either Sequence or Shuffle.
      3. If you have pinned any episodes while building the collection, the position at which assets are pinned is displayed by default. You can modify this position or even delete the pinning rule as per your requirement.
  6. Click SCHEDULE to schedule the program.

View and verify the scheduled collection program in the calendar. The scheduled collection program duration equals the sum of the assets' duration and the break duration.
