To schedule programs for a definite duration, for example, 30 minutes or 1 hour, use the Fixed Duration configuration. The scheduled program may contain the title, ad media, and fillers. The ad media and fillers are scheduled automatically using rules set up in break automation.

To schedule a single program for a fixed duration,

  1. Navigate the calendar in the week or day view. Choose the date and time slot in which the program needs to be scheduled in the calendar.
  2. Select the title from the Content Manager. Drag and drop the selected title into a time slot you want to start the scheduling.
  3. Schedule Programs widget appears on the right-hand side of the screen. Select the Duration as Fixed. By default, the duration is set to multiples of 30 minutes.
  4. For repeating the program,
    1. Click on REPEAT.
    2. Configure the Start Time and Start Date for the repeat broadcast.
  5. Click the SCHEDULE button to schedule the program.

If there are no overlap conflicts, you can view and verify the program scheduled on the scheduling calendar. The scheduled program duration is equal to the fixed program duration.

If there is one or more overlap conflicts, then Planner will prompt with options to resolve the overlap conflict. Choose an option and click SCHEDULE. Read about handling overlap conflicts to know more.
