Whether you are scheduling a movie or a documentary, flexible duration programming ensures that your content fits into your schedule without having to add any fillers.
To schedule a single program for a flexible duration,
- Navigate the calendar in the week or day view. Choose the date and time slot in which the program needs to be scheduled in the calendar.
- Select the title from the Content Manager. Drag and drop the selected title into a time slot of the calendar on the right-hand side.
- A Schedule Programs widget is displayed on the right-hand side of the screen. By default the program Duration is Flexible. Leave it unchanged.
- For repeating the program,
- Click on REPEAT.
- Configure the Start Time and Start Date for the repeat broadcast.
- Click the SCHEDULE button to schedule the program.
If there are no overlap conflicts, you can view and verify the program scheduled on the scheduling calendar. The scheduled program duration is equal to the sum of the asset duration and the break duration.
If there is one or more overlap conflicts, then Planner will prompt with options to resolve the overlap conflict. Choose an option and click SCHEDULE. Read about handling overlap conflicts to know more.
