Schedule a program by replacing the current schedule with a new schedule

At times, due to change in the content planning, a need might arise to schedule an individual program at a timeslot where another program is already scheduled. Deleting/Replacing the individual scheduled program would be operationally heavy. To eliminate the overlap conflict, PLANNER allows replacing the scheduled program with the new episode that needs to be scheduled.

To replace the scheduled program with a new program, follow the below steps:

1. Locate the replacement/new program from the content manager and drag it just above or below the existing program that needs to be replaced.

2. In the Schedule Media pop, manually provide the start time of the replacement/new program.

3. Click SCHEDULE. 
   While scheduling, if any or all of the episodes in the new schedule overlap with the existing schedule, the system will not be able to schedule the complete series and throws an Overlap Conflict(s) Found! Message. 

3.   To get rid of the overlap conflict and schedule the asset, click the Replace with the current overlapping schedule option.

4. Click SCHEDULE.

Once done, the existing schedule will be successfully replaced with the new schedule.

Limitation: Currently, replacing a program via overwriting the current schedule is possible only if there is some empty space above or below the existing schedule (schedule that needs to be replaced).
