How the system validates if my schedule has more occurrences than the defined frequency

Once the asset scheduling is done, PLANNER validates whether the frequency capping defined for the assets is violated by checking the asset’s frequency rights. If an asset is scheduled beyond the number of times it is allowed to be scheduled for a specific time period (for example: allowed frequency capping is 2 times per hour, but the asset is scheduled 4 times per hour), the PLANNER throws a frequency violation alert.

Note: The scheduler will be alerted only if any violations are found in the asset’s frequency capping. Also, all the schedules with frequency capping violations will not be published in the playlist and will create holes.

If the frequency rights of the asset are violated, you can view the details in the program card, Program Details window, and the notification pane.

Program card

A red dot is displayed on the top-right corner of the Program card to indicate that the frequency capping of the asset used in the scheduled program is violated. Hover anywhere on the program card and look at the bottom of the pane to view the asset’s frequency capping violation details.

Note: If no frequency violation details are displayed in the hovercard, it means, the frequency capping is not violated for that asset.

Program Details pane

  1. Click the program/episode name to display the Program Details pane.

  2. In the Program Details pane, at the bottom left side, click the down arrow adjacent to Rights & Frequency violations to view the asset’s frequency violation details

Note: If no frequency violation details are displayed in the Program Details pane, it means that the frequency capping is not violated for that asset.

Notification panel

  1. Click the red colored notification icon on the right side of the Day/Week view.

  2. In the Alert & Violation pane, the list of all assets whose frequency capping is violated is displayed in the format: Frequency violated for episode <program name > from <licence start date> to <licence end date> (F). The label (F) indicates that the violation is related to frequency capping

  3. Click the required entry to navigate to the exact location of the scheduled program (highlighted in blue color) whose frequency capping is violated.
